...Three weeks later! orz Sorry for the unannounced hiatus, and unfortunately it is not quite over yet. I expect it to be sometime next week, probably Thursday because that is the due date for the 80 drawings that I have not started yet. :|a Will probably pop in for counselor voting rounds because I feel guilty about missing the last voting round entirely.

On Saturday the 14th at 4AM UTC/GMT we will be upgrading the operating system of our network load balancers to a newer version, one that will allow us to use both CPUs! Nifty, because multiprocessing is nice.

Since we have 2 load balancers, the plan is to upgrade 1 at a time, and there really should be very little impact to our website. Hopefully you won't notice a thing and I'll get to go back to the hotel and watch some wonderful late night infomercials.

We've got a lot of exciting projects coming up for 2010 and we're hoping that we'll be able to deliver them all to you, that you will find it useful/cool/lovely and then you will use the site even more. Behind-the-scenes work like this will give us the capacity to handle the anticipated traffic, so expect a few more maintenance windows especially in the beginning of next year as we've got some neat ideas to improve performance around here! We had the recent 30-45 minute outage yesterday due to one of our logging databases filling up disk space -- not so great design coupled with my human error in handling the initial problem -- and it looks like we're going to finally have some resources to eliminate stuff like that. I can't wait!

Good morning, participants. My name is Doctor Dmitri Yuriev, and I am here to greet you to the tutorial session of the simulation. You may have played this game before, but my colleges and I are here to test a new system that should bring a new dimension of reality to the game.

This stage of the simulation will end at the latest, at 7 PM PST on November 12th, at which time we will go to the first suspicion post, although if it proves that you all can adequately complete the tasks of the first part of the scenario, quickly, we may move on sooner.

Today, however, you will be concerning yourself the party and character creation mechanics of the game, as well as familiarizing yourself with the necessary subsystems and your party. 12 among you were selected to be party leaders. My apologies to those who did not get in--it proved to be more popular then expected. Perhaps next time we will have more slots. Please, select your second party member. Four parties will have three members, and no party can have more then that. Mr. Fair, your objection to the numbers has been noted.

I'm sorry for being so absent for these last few weeks; my CFUD playing mojo died sometime when school started and it's taken me a while to get it back. So this is kind of like the end of an unannounced hiatus derp.

I'm also sorry to say I'll be dropping Trish and Rika; so many apologies to my awesome castmates for being an inactive one. They definitely deserve to be reapped because both casts are amazing. I'll still be around with Laon and Cooro, who will hopefully be back into the swing of things really soon.

There are spoilers for Fire Emblem 4 and 5, because it's kind impossible to talk about the situation in the second half of the game and why Finn is so epically awesome/awful without spoiling. But I mean, shit, the very premise of Fire Emblem 5 is a spoiler for FE4 in itself, so I'm always kind of \o_O/ about how to handle this.

Basically my laptop died a couple days ago, and I am now computerless until whenever I get it back from the Apple mothership.
